My current SKS is a 1957 production "Pseudo-Sino Soviet", serialed later than the true SS guns, but physically identical, Russian parts and styling. Chinese is light, but can be less accurate. Yugo is heavier, but more accurate and better machined. Yugo's do have some firing pin problems, but can be replaced with a Chinese one for about 5-10 dollars. I have one with over 1000 rounds shot by me and it works fine with the original pin.The Sks paratrooper stock is exactly the same. Any regular stock will fit your gun. Mounting a scope to the wood will NOT give you good results. Full disclosure, I am trying to sell you something, but, this is truly what I think…. I went with the magwedge Sks rail.
